Penske Racing
Fresh off the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship, Penske Racing, housed in their 424,697 square foot facility in Mooresville, NC, decided to completely retool their strength and conditioning center for the start of the 2013 season. In a highly competitive sport, where fractions of a second can make the difference, strength, conditioning, flexibility, and speed are at a premium. To that end, Penske chose Legend Fitness over several other suitors to completely outfit their weight room. Legend installed a foundation of Ultra Tile flooring, complete with the Penske Racing Logo. Penske training staff chose our Pro Series Triple Cages with Pro Series Insert Platforms and six Pro Series Self-Adjusting Three Way Benches as the centerpiece of this state-of-the-art training center. The cages were installed with our cage connectors which, among other things, facilitate the use of TRX Suspension Trainers. In addition, they purchased two Pro Series Glute Ham Developers, a 953 Functional Trainer, and three Multi Storage Racks.
For their iron, Penske outfitted their facility with six sets of Powerblock dumbbells & Troy Urethane Grip plates, kettlebells and bumpers. Add to that a Vertimax V8 Large, a Jacobs Ladder, Concept 2 Rowers and a plethora of accessories like chains & bands. Led by Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Shawn Powell, Penske Racing uses their newly upgraded facility to achieve and maintain peak physical performance of their drivers and pit crew members.
