Munster Rugby
The High Performance Centre at Munster Rugby was an exciting project, and one we knew would make a drastic, positive difference to the development and performance of the team. Tony and the team at Absolute Performance were able to quickly appreciate what we were hoping to achieve, and they exceeded expectations throughout the process with efficient communication and patience during the planning stage, to the delivery and installation of a strength facility that we are immensely proud of.

Head of Athletic Performance - Munster Rugby
As part of an 18 month process, Absolute Performance (Legend Fitness distributor for the UK) were approached by Munster Rugby’s Aled Walters (Head of Athletic Performance) to assist with the design and kit out of the strength and conditioning area within their brand-new 15 million euros High Performance Centre.
Based within the University of Limericks campus, the plan was to build a state-of-the-art facility marking a new era for the province as the squad looked to reap the rewards from their first ever single training base.
As a traditional powerhouse of European Rugby the new HPC was seen as being a vital symbol of Munster’s ambition on and off the field. To this end AP were extremely excited and proud to work with Aled and his team from the very start of the project development.
With the move to a single training venue for the entire team, it was crucial that the facility had everything the coaches and players needed to complete their training and match preparation, throughout the season and during the offseason. One of the key elements of the project was to maximise the space within the gym and to create the ideal area for the team to train.
The gym is fully equipped with strength and conditioning equipment from world leading brands, such as Werksan, Legend Fitness and DC Blocks, and includes IWF accredited bars and plates, along with a wide range of racks and benches, all full branded with team colours and logos.
The gym, like the rest of the High Performance Centre, is of the highest quality and way exceeds that of many of the club’s competitors.
Equipment finished in Mars Red and Jet Black with black upholstery.
