D1 Knoxville
Arguably the fastest-growing chain of athletic training facilities in the country, D1 Sports Training opened a new location in Knoxville, Tennessee in July 2010. Co-owned by former Volunteers Will Bartholomew and Peyton Manning, this 33,000 square foot facility features an indoor 60-by-30-yard turf practice field, sports therapy areas, showers, locker rooms and a Legend Fitness training area fully stocked with five 3226 Pro Series Half Cages, a 953 Functional Trainer, two 3214 Pro Series Glute/Ham Developers, a 3212 Reverse Hyper Pro, a 3217 Belt Squat Machine, a set of Plyo Boxes and racks for dumbbell and kettlebell storage.
Cages feature custom D1 logos and are presented in the D1 corporate colors of Mars Red and Jet Black, and the other items were Mars Red with black pads. Overall, an absolutely fantastic-looking and functional area within a relatively small area. Legend Fitness is now the exclusive strength supplier to all D1 facilities.
