Description
The first thing you need to know about this machine is that it isn’t just a glute/ham developer. It is actually a glute/ham/back developer. Why else would it be called the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine?
The second thing you need to know about it is that it was designed by world-renowned biomechanist/kinesiologist and sport-specific training expert, Dr. Michael Yessis. He was also the inventor of the glute/ham developer. To paraphrase an old action movie, Dr. Yessis has forgotten more about physical conditioning than you and I will ever know. So, when the good doctor came to us with a design intended to be the most complete posterior chain developer on the market, we paid attention. And then we built it!
What makes the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine stand out?
In creating the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine, Dr. Yessis applied several decades’ worth of expertise and insight. All of that adds up to quite a few features that make this one of the best glute/ham/back machines on the market.
Built for adjustability and comfort.
The incredibly adjustable chassis accommodates youth, seven foot tall basketball players, and everyone in between. The forward handles are angled downward to provide clearance for barbell work and also to allow fatigued users with an easier dismount. A uniquely contoured thigh pad optimizes user positioning . It also allows for the proper axis of hip/leg rotation. Greater range of motion allows more sport-specific exercises to stretch and strengthen the lower back and abdominal muscles. The Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine has fully upholstered ankle and foot rollers. The chrome-plated adjustment surfaces make for smooth, easy adjustments time and time again. A separate guide rod located by a linear bearing eases footplate adjustment. Combine all that with the lower standover height and pretty much anyone can get comfortable on the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine.
Ultra stable, super versatile.
The fully-welded frame of the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine makes it more stable than bolt-together designs. The forward support feet are splayed outward, which means maximum stability. This also provides clearance for hand weights, for a little extra challenge. If a user needs an even bigger challenge, welded rings on the forward support feet provide attachment points for Active Cords to facilitate resistance training. Durable wearguards on the upper surfaces of the forward support feet keep your Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine looking nice for years. The welded-on wheels make it easy to move the unit out of the way when not in use. Lesser GHDs allow for only one exercise, or two if you’re lucky. But the Yessis Glute/Ham/Back Machine provides users with 12 different exercises, thoroughly working abs, low back, and hip areas.
