Brad Colson

Serving New Mexico and Southwest Texas

Hi, I’m Brad Colson. Born and raised in Centerville, Ohio, my passion for athletics and competitive nature is rooted in being the youngest of five like-minded and active kids. Growing up playing football and baseball in the youth and high school levels I developed my deep appreciation and respect for the grind of the journey that ultimately begins in the weight room.

I attended college at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where I was a walk-on for the football team during the 1999 season. It was there that I discovered rugby. I played rugby for the next 20 years, participating in clubs in Tennessee, Ohio, and Florida. While I played rugby, I also coached high school football for five years, and spent ten years working in parks and recreation. I joined the Legend Fitness team in May 2017.

In October 2018 I moved to Austin, Texas to develop the southwest Texas and New Mexico markets. I look forward to contributing to organizations/teams competing in various levels of athletics as well as individuals and facilities dedicated to health and wellness by providing them with world class strength equipment from Legend Fitness. Let’s continue the tradition of “going big” in the southwest!

Grove High School

The Grove High School Ridgerunners were due for a new weight room, but they didn’t want one that looked like every other weight room. They wanted a functional space that showcased Ridgerunner pride, so they came to Legend Fitness. We worked with Grove High School staff to build their new weight room from the ground up, literally! The custom rubber tile flooring features platform areas with the Ridgerunner mascot, loud and proud, as does the indoor turf area. Both the turf and the floor feature specialty markings as well, to help the team build agility.

This installation is an excellent example of using our Continuum Rig System to develop a highly functional workout space. This free-standing 6-station rig features Dynamic Ladder attachments and our excellent three-way benches. This provides a lot of versatility in a moderate-sized space for not a lot of money.

Custom embroidered bench upholstery gives everything a personal touch, as does the nice Post Office Blue and Signal Yellow powder coat finish.
