Built Legend strong from American steel, our Squat Machine with Calf Blaster is more versatile than one might think. At first glance, it might look like a standard squat machine, but if you look closer, this machine offers much more.
Starting at the bottom, the diamond plate foot platform features both a flat and an angled surface. This gives you the ability to vary your stance and work muscles differently than if you worked from a flat platform only. The included Calf Blaster adds another dimension when slid over the platform, giving you the ability to really dial in on calf work.
Unloaded, the weight resistance is 40 pounds. The chrome-plated, Olympic-sized weight pegs measure an impressive 12.5 inches long. This means you can load up at least six plates per side. Depending on who made them and whether they are coated, you might even be able to get more on there. Either way, you can do some real heavy leg work on the 3129. Since the pegs are side-loading, you don’t have to worry about pinched fingers like you do with some other designs.
The Squat Machine with Calf Blaster utilizes a chain system to drive movement. This prevents the weight from bouncing or accelerating faster than the user, which makes this machine ideal for adding explosive acceleration and deceleration training to more traditional controlled compound movements. Combined, this all makes for a safe approach to huge gains in sprinting power and jumping ability.
Sliding steel pegs offer three starting heights, accommodating various heights while also providing easy-to-use safety catches for even the most fatigued user. The shoulder pads are extra-thick, dense foam coated in hand-stitched vinyl. They provide ample cushioning, even during the heaviest squats, and are easy to wipe clean afterwards. There is a set of foam padded transverse handles mounted outside of the shoulder pads for stability and security during sets. The handles also allow you to pull up a bench and do box or shoulder presses, boosting the versatility of the Squat Machine with Calf Blaster.
With more welds than bolts, the Squat Machine with Calf Blaster ships fully assembled. This means that it can only fit through doorways with a width of at least 35 inches and with a straight approach, so no tight turns leading up to the door. After all, it takes a beast to build one.
