Legend Fitness attended and participated in the 2017 AFCA Convention from January 8-11 in Nashville, TN. The American Football Coaches Association is the only national organization solely dedicated to improving football coaches through ongoing education, interaction and networking. This convention is its flagship event that more than 6,000 coaches attend.
Our 30’ by 30’ booth (the largest strength equipment booth at the show) was jam-packed with some of the most popular equipment for football weight rooms, along with some of our newest pieces. Everything was fully functioning, and visitors were encouraged to try pieces out.
New this year, we had three iPad kiosks where booth visitors could use the Build-A-Cage configurator. It’s a great hands-on experience that showcases all of our options and customizations. Plus, it allowed visitors to see just how easy it is to create a cage that suits their specific needs.
Some of the notable pieces of equipment we showcased this year included:
- Pro Series Reverse Back Extension (974) – Newer Item

- Two PRO SERIES Modular Power Cages (3263) connected by 96” connectors. One cage was outfitted with the Fusion 1 Inside Lat Pulldown/Seated Row Module (3268-F1) and the other had the Fusion 3 Cable Column Module (3268-F3) mounted on it.
- Two PRO SERIES Modular Half Cages (3264) connected by 96” connectors. One cage had the Fusion 2 Outside Lat Pulldown/Seated Row Module (3268-F2) mounted and the other had the Fusion 4 Destroyer Module (3268-F4) on it.
- All four cages had the PRO SERIES Self-Adjusting Three-Way Bench (3222) docked, and one of our barbells loaded with plates and ready to use.

The cages all had various Pro Series attachments (single and dual landmines and dip attachments), and we brought in rubber tile flooring and various weights and plates, all supplied by the partners we work with.
The equipment was all finished in Olympia White with Jet Black accents. Upholstery was white with black accents and custom embroidery. We also had two inset wood platforms with logos on them.
