Cardio Amperage Requirements |

|
| |
Be advised that treadmills operating normally use between 3 to 17 amps.
Manufacturers recommend that each treadmill have its own dedicated, isolated circuit.
This will prevent power depravity to each unit. As the unit ages this becomes very important to its function. The sharing of hot wires can cause overloads, tripping unit and house breakers. Overloads also deteriorate wire insulation. Sharing hot and neutral wires can deprive a unit of needed current (amps), which can cause electronic component failure.
A dedicated, isolated circuit has a hot, neutral, and ground wire running from the treadmill to a 20-amp house circuit breaker, neutral bar, and ground bar located in the house panel. Treadmills cannot share hot or neutral wires. Warranty of the equipment that does not have a dedicated/ isolated circuit is at the discretion of the manufacturer and proper diagnosis of equipment failure cannot be accomplished without the required circuit.

Cardio Power Cord Management |
| |
|
| |
All commercial treadmills normally have the power cord entering the front of the treadmill. This causes serious issues with the power cord sliding under the lift carriage wheels or the treadmill frame causing the cord insulation to flatten then break or be cut. The result of a cord flattening and breaking is shorted out wires which can lead to fires and serious electronic damage.
Using extension cords can also be very hazardous causing fires due to high amperage (current) requirements of the treadmill. To prevent this from happening, power cord management is essential. The facility managers can route the cords in a manner that will not allow them to slide under the treadmill when the unit is inclined or when cleaning is done. There are several different methods depending on the power outlet setup of the facility. Before serious damage occurs seek routing advice from Legend Fitness service department.

Listed below are some very important considerations before installing any kind of audio/visual equipment in your facility. This website will help with all your TV mounting needs.
Important TV functions to consider:
1. Audio output--fixed preferred, variable as second choice.
2. On/Off timer (desirable)
3. Disable front panel option (desirable).
Legend Fitness recommends arranging equipment (treadmills, etc.) and height of TV's so that the TV's can be viewed at an angle that does not cause the viewer to tilt their head back at an extreme
angle, not to include recumbent bikes. It is advised to start at 10 feet to the bottom of the screen and adjust as needed. Remember, elliptical's stand taller than treadmills and each treadmill requires an isolated/dedicated circuit to operate properly; you may want to arrange elliptical’s on the last row. All units without c-safe or cardio ports must have a 110-volt outlet next to the unit. Power cords and cable management are the responsibility of the facility, not the audio/visual installer, otherwise additional charges will incur. Transmitters, receivers, or personal viewing screens (PVS) cannot be installed without a fully operational satellite or cable signal to the televisions or PVS.
