The Oakland Patriots are Tennessee's 6A state champions for 1984, 1998 and 2008. Flush with success, they sought to renovate their weight room. Legend Fitness was determined to be an integral part of that extensive makeover.

When asked why his staff chose Legend for the new weight room, Coach McDaniel said, "The quality of it. The quality was apparent. It had to be something that was going to with stand a day-to-day beating. We had an idea in our mind of what to expect in providing our team with new strength equipment, and after speaking with several companies, Legend seemed to offer what we wanted."

But Legend wasn't chosen purely from a value standpoint: "As far as a teaching tool is concerned, we can really focus on the technical aspect of training with this equipment. It's been great for our program."

After reviewing the Legend lineup, the Patriots staff chose seven 3142 Performance Series Half Racks with supplementary dip and step attachments, seven 3103 Three-Way Benches, seven 3131 Lifting Platforms, two 3135 Plate-Loaded Leg Extension/Leg Curl Combos, seven 3350 Partner Glute/Ham Developers, a 3224 Leg Press/Hack Squat Combo, and several plateholders and dumbbell racks.
