I'll Alert the Media . . .
March 9 was a red-letter day here at Legend Fitness World Headquarters. Several luminaries from Chip Smith's Competitive Edge Sports (CES) organization were on hand to celebrate the exclusive partnership of the two companies and to formally present the CES Campus program. None other than Albert Haynesworth, Pro Bowl lineman and CES graduate, was on hand to lend credence to the auspicious occasion.
On display for the CES team and media were several pieces of Legend equipment built to the exact specifications of Robby Stewart, CES Director of Strength Development, including the all-new Pro Series Insert Platform, a custom 9-foot Pro Series Half Cage, an Eight-Stack Jungle, two Unilateral Angle Leg Presses, and a few lower body pin select pieces. All were resplendent with their white powder coated frames, royal blue upholstery and CES/Legend logos.
"I thought the equipment would be good, but when I got here and saw everything first hand, and how it was made ... it all exceeded my expectations," said Robby Stewart. "The guys here have been very helpful in providing me with more than what I asked for."
"Legend is a fantastic company that makes the best strength equipment I've seen. They build top-notch equipment but not at top notch prices and their equipment is completely American made, which means a lot to people in this day and age, including me," said Albert Haynesworth. "That a company like this has resisted doing what so many others have done in moving their manufacturing overseas, is great. Instead they are employing fifty Americans, and making really, really good stuff."
Presenting the CES Campus program was a moment of great pride for all involved. What is CES Campus? Well, the very same programs that have made game-changing stars out of Brian Urlacher, Albert Haynesworth, Champ Bailey and others have been developed into a package that can be purchased and implemented in any high school, college or university. Extreme care was taken on the front end to make sure that the expertise and techniques could be effectively "packaged for sale". Once it was determined that it was indeed possible to provide the service to clients outside the walls of the CES training facility, Todd Robison, CEO of CES Holdings, wasted no time in securing Legend Fitness as the preferred equipment provider. "Coaches are always asking us about what strength items they should use to best implement our championship-winning program. That answer will always be Legend Fitness. The excellence in their product matches the quality of our program perfectly."
